How has our firm helped you in your career development?
This firm provides numerous opportunities improve and expand my skill set as a litigator. In addition to such a valuable atmosphere, the firm encourages and provides the tools to optimize marketing techniques and opportunities.
What is your favorite part about working at our firm?
The level of teamwork at this firm is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Members go out of their way to provide support and encouragement to maximize the changes of success for our clients.
Michele Says…
As a Paralegal of almost 30 years, I have been impressed by the utilization of Paralegals here at the firm which in turn ultimately reduces the cost of legal services to the client and frees up time for attorneys.
Sandberg Life as a team member and what sets this firm apart from others:
The Paralegal career began to develop in the late 1960's. This firm started out with hiring Paralegals so to help their clients improve the efficient and cost-effective delivery of legal services. Our firm is not only supportive of the Paralegals here but also to all Paralegals in the St. Louis Area. The firm sponsors many events with the St. Louis Paralegal Association.
Favorite part about working at our firm:
The firm celebrates with its staff and Paralegals by sending them to a St. Louis Cardinals game for the day. It is always nice to attend a sporting event with your co-workers and enjoy a day out of the office. It is rare to find a company or law firm that wants to have fun with their employees. I am a very big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and truly enjoy this time with my co-workers.

How has our firm helped you in your career development?
The firm took a chance on me with mostly a business background and very little IT experience. In the past 7 years I've had the opportunity to travel to various places around the country for professional training and I've also been promoted. Today I function nearly at a senior level position and still am giving the opportunity to grow and push my career further year after year. I'm very grateful for everything they've done for me.
What is your proudest moment of working at our firm?
My most proud memory at the firm was the rollout of the current file site client and infrastructure. Paul and I were sent to Chicago to do a conference with the development group. We then worked for 18 months in preparation for the rollout. Everything went incredibly smoothly and I was quite happy with the work we were able to accomplish.

What is your proudest moment working at our firm?
I would have to say my proudest moment was when we came together as a team on our floor and had a bake auction and a “Bowlin for Nolan” charity event for our co-worker/team mate, Denise. We had a blast preparing, organizing, strategizing, working together and attending the events, plus we had a huge turnout from our fellow firm members for the events. It was amazing to see how our firm/employees really came together to help out one of our own! Let’s just say our firm has a very generous group of people!
What is the best place you traveled and why?
I am not sure it is the “best” place I’ve traveled to, but it is the “best” time I think I have ever had. It was our wedding nearly 20 years ago in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Several of our family members and closest friends traveled with us and we stayed in a resort all in the same area where it was just our wedding party, and we had the pool to ourselves and just hung out in our own compound so to speak. We were married on a dinner yacht on Tampa Bay.

My favorite part about working at Sandberg Phoenix is the people. I work with such amazing, smart and absolutely fun people!
What is your proudest moment working at our firm?
My proudest moment working at the firm was being a part of the team that achieved a defense verdict after a week-long jury trial representing a general surgeon in Rolla, Missouri.
What is the best place you traveled and why?
The best place I “traveled” was the top of Long’s Peak in Estes Park, Colorado. My husband and I got up at 2 am and hiked to the base of the mountain, then – with full climbing gear – climbed to the top. It was amazing, like being on top of the world. It was such an accomplishment to have reached the top of the only “14er” in Rocky Mountain National Park.
Stephanie Says…
I can truly say that the team I work with is amazing and makes Sandberg Phoenix a great place to work.
What hobbies do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Over the last few years, I’ve honed my photography skills in the search for the perfect Eagle picture. I enjoy spending winter weekends Eagle watching and trying to capture the beauty of this majestic bird. It also gifts me with quality time with my husband.
What is the best place you traveled and why?
I’ve been fortunate to be able to travel to Germany, Austria, Mexico and Grand Cayman. As for my favorite, it would be right here in the U.S., where we vacation each summer in Michigan. The beauty of the state and its lakes is amazing. And visiting places like Mackinac Island and the U.P. with the gorgeous Tahquamenon Falls never gets old. I look forward to our trips up each this summer and we plan on retiring there.
